Hurricane at home

Right before we were about to leave for Stromboli (volcanoe island) My dad checked his email and saw from Rob and he had said “Let me know if you need anything for your house” and then my Dad was like “What?” and then he checked another email from Ivan and he said “your sunroom is destroyed” and my dad said “Oh no…” So we ended up staying in Amalfi for an extra night unexpectedly because a tree fell on half of our house.  We saw the pictures and we were like “Whoa – that’s weird, and bad!”

Aethan, I'm so sorry that the tree fell on your house. I hope that the process of taking care of the damage won't be too terrible for everyone.

I hope you get to attend some soccer games while you're in Europe. I thought of you earlier this summer when there was a big game between Manchester United and Barcelona at Fed Ex Field. Almost 81,000 people attended which was the largest attendance ever at a soccer game in the Washington area.

I'm taking a history of modern art class down at Montgomery College this semester. It's quite interesting, but I wish I had a classroom as fascinating as you do with all your travels.

Take care,
Kay
