ruin of ruins
This old castle was built using ruins. Of course, what comes around goes around, and the castle is a ruin. Cool thing is that you could identify pieces of statue, stone with inscriptions assembled into a conglomerate wall.

Happy holidays!
...it is 'I did not have to kill my kid day'. The celebration is of Abraham's sacrafice of a sheep and not his kid. "Papa, why are we climbing this big mountain? Pappa, why do you have that big knife?"

A jolly old elf?
Maybe it is just me, but is this the kind of guy you want to have over for the holiday meal?

Cappadocia
Theylook a bit like giant termite mounds, but these are actually ancient condos. They are eroding due to wind and one day will be gone. Others are built down into the ground, some are actual cities underground where up to 50,000 early christians could stay in times of Roman invasions.
